NP by day, musician by night!
Professional flutist for the first part of my adult life – played classical music and was generally happy and busy. Mother of two, wife of one. One day while playing Beethoven IX with a great orchestra in a beautiful hall, I wondered to myself ‘… think they’ll have paychecks tonight?’ … and stopped cold. I’d become officially burned out. Went back to school for nursing and worked as an RN for ten years in a busy ICU at a large teaching hospital. LOVED IT! Went back to school again and am now a cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner. Evidently I like school, because now I’m considering a doctoral degree. My husband is smart and patient and good (and gorgeous). My children are amazing and always a challenge. My beautiful sister, amazing brother and their families live close, my parents are well. My Father God is generous and attentive and present to me. I am indeed blessed.
